This 4 month, 200-hour, Yoga-Alliance-approved program, is for those who wish to learn the skill of teaching yoga, and gain the credentials needed to become a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT). Lotus Life’s 200-hour program is also for those wishing to deepen their understanding and practice, without necessarily wanting to become a teacher.

Lotus Life Yoga Center is an approved Registered Yoga School (RYS) through the Yoga Alliance (YA). This program covers everything one would need to know and understand in order to lead a yoga class with confidence and grace.

Students will learn:

– The history of yoga
– Anatomy & Physiology (Gross and Energetic, Chakras, Nadis and Kriya, etc)
– Yoga Philosophy, Lifestyle and Ethics
– Techniques for practice
– Teaching Methodology (you will practice teach several times)
– Basic principles behind Power Yoga, Yin, Vinyasa, Kripalu, Ashtanga and more…

– Prenatal Yoga
– Yogic Nutrition, Vegetarianism  (philosophy and the how-to behind them).

– Meditation and its techniques

Students will be taught by a variety of highly-qualified instructors from the Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) team! These include: Kim Fischer, 500 E-RYT, Alexis Pierce, 500 RYT, Joyce Green, 500 RYT and more…

In order to complete all training hours required from YA, students will need to complete (20 hours) of at-home assignments, including but not limited to:

  • Reading several books from the required reading list (see below). *House copies available

  • Writing assignments (Kim will email these to you)

  • Karma Yoga (volunteer work)

  • Personal
    Sadhana (practice) and journaling

  • Cross training (logging hours)

Kick-Off Week!

Monday 1/4, Tuesday 1/5, Wednesday 1/6 (7-4 PM)

Saturday (1/9), Sunday (1/10) (8-4 PM)

We then switch to every other Friday night(6-8:30 PM) plus the weekend (Saturday, 9-5 PM and Sunday, 9-4 PM).

Makeup weekend-

This option is for students who miss a weekend of training, and need to makeup that time. The only makeup weekend will be offered on  April 30-May 1, 2016.
